About Me
I’m a higher education and learning innovation leader who thrives in the early stages of design — the messy, creative work of researching, prototyping, and testing ideas until they can scale to reach thousands of students. Over the last decade, I’ve directed multimillion-dollar projects, built high-performing teams, and led initiatives that put equity and access at the center of change.
At Western Governors University, I led the Curriculum & Product Prototyping Team and launched the university’s first AI-powered instructional design solutions, from generative course models to adaptive learning modules. In a concurrent role as Change Manager, I applied PROSCI/ADKAR methodologies to guide 300+ employees through major transitions — and sometimes presented to audiences of up to 10,000 employees to keep everyone aligned and engaged.
Before that, I helped build Portland State University’s Office of Academic Innovation. There, I oversaw a $3.5M LMS migration affecting 30,000 students, co-authored the university’s accessibility policy, and championed Accessibility by Design, embedding inclusive practices into every course. I also co-led the Gates-funded Active + Adaptive analytics project, which improved student outcomes by up to 30%.
I’ve shared this work nationally at conferences like OLC, EDUCAUSE, APLU, and NPEA. What connects all of it — from competency-based frameworks to flipped faculty development — is my belief that education should be accessible, equitable, and empowering for everyone.
