About Me
I’ve always been drawn to the part of education where big ideas meet real learners and real challenges. My career began at a small extension program at Chemeketa Community College, where I directed online humanities courses for 250 students — many of them first-generation learners and returning veterans. I saw firsthand how online programs could create transfer pathways and life-changing opportunities.
Since then, I’ve scaled that same passion into larger roles. At Portland State University, I helped found the Office of Academic Innovation, led a $3.5M LMS migration that redesigned more than 10,000 courses, and helped launch the first fully online MSW on the West Coast. At Western Governors University, I directed course and curriculum standards and practices for 150,000+ online students, introduced AI-powered instructional design models, and led a design sprints. In a concurrent role as Change Manager, I applied PROSCI/ADKAR methodologies to guide 300+ employees through major transitions — from new learning platforms to curriculum standards — and often presented to audiences of 10,000+ employees to keep alignment and morale strong.
Across every role, the throughline is the same: make online education accessible, compliant, and deeply connected to student success — while leading change in a way that supports both faculty and students.
